Monterey Road

Located in the historic district of downtown Gilroy, the aim of the project was to revitalize a dilapidated storefront and recapture the spirit of the original single story masonry building constructed in 1900. Contemporary details have been carefully integrated to update the facade, while maintaining the original proportions and materiality. The second floor addition adds apartments to the downtown, supporting the City's goal to create a more activated and walkable neighborhood.
